Sara Rayo majored in Communications Design, minored in Art Direction and graduated from Pratt Institute in 1999. Aside from living and working in New York as a Graphic Designer/Art Director for L’Oreal, Liz Claiborne, Speedo, Zyscovich Architect, Chanel and even window dressed for Roberto Cavalli and Christian Dior, she has had various exhibitions of her artwork throughout the Americas including New York, Quito and Bogotá. She also found the love of teaching when living in Cali, Colombia and helped to start up the Communications Design Department of the Universidad Javeriana, was on the committee board and taught there for 7 years. After taking an artists residency at the School of Visual Arts in 2012 her work ourished into a three-dimensional setting from the at surface of the watercolor paper she knows so well. She is a committee board member and the Art Director for her father’s museum, Museo Rayo in Roldanillo Valle, and has participated in bene ts and auctions donating her work for charity. She currently resides in Bogotá, Colombia and is fully dedicated to her artwork.
