Hello,
my name is Sophie and I am a 22 year old girl from southern Germany. I am a self taught artist, currently working as an optican, making and selling glasses.
Art plays a very special role in my life, it allows me to express my feelings and thoughts in a distinctive way and be mentally free.
With my work I want to arouse emotions, transmit messages and let the viewer dive into a mystic world - sometimes dark and dramatic, sometimes bright, often colorful and vivid.
I want to create individual and special artworks that sink deeply into the viewers minds and let them form their own and personal interpretations.
I am always curious to try different techniques and passionate about constantly improving my skills. My influences include Franz Marc, Wassily Kandisky, Max Ernst and Fritz Winter.
Currently, I work a lot with acrylic fluid pouring, a technique where the paint is allowed to move freely and create random patterns and shapes.
There is a vast number of variables that allow to influence the outcome, however some effects are mostly unpredictable. Consequently, each artwork is totally unique.
