Seba Ugurtan

She was born in İstanbul in 1956. During her high-school years she worked at the State Museum of Art and Sculpture at Cavit Atmaca's studio, and during her university education, she worked at the studios of significant artists like Şeref Bigalı, Fahri Sever and İbrahim Bozkuş. Certificated through her education at the Painting Principal Branch of Arts of Buca Education Faculty at Dokuz Eylül University in 1978, she completed her undergraduate courses at the same faculty. She worked as a painting teacher for 20 years.
Opening Obje Art Gallery in 1995, she has leaded the mounting of many shows. She put her dynamic and vivacious brush strokes compatible with her state of spirit into action in the works she has produced at her studio in the gallery. For her works calling for being sensitive towards human beings and the environment, she was awarded an environment certificate and a medal by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Environment.
In 1999, she brought a novel art gallery to Ä°zmir -Seba Art Gallery.

The Artistic Organizations The Water Group has Organized

1. The first International Agamemnon Art Festival in 2002, 400 artists have painted pictures during the whole day sharing the enthusiam of art with the spectators. The art works have been exhibited in Turkuaz cafe in İnciraltı. 400 original art works have been donated to Kit-vak to be used for the medical treatment of the children with leukemia.
2. The first Kordon Art Rejoicing was organized in İzmir in the open area in Kordon. During the rejoicing 1600 art works of 400 artists have been exhibited and the artists painted pictures while the spectators wached them. The amount taken by the sale of the art works has been donated to Kit- Vak fot the treatment of children with cancer.
3. The mixed art exhibition during the 72nd of International İzmir fair in 2003. 100 artists have participated with their 400 artworks in the exhibition. The exhibition took place during the fair under the name of “Living and Flourishing Brushes “
