Seon Yoo

Seon Yoo(b.1992) is a painter and a designer based in Seoul, Korea. Through her works, characterized by their abstract technique, she is constantly striving to create something beautiful. From a very young age, she was a big fan of art and literature which led her to major in English literature and become an interpreter in her early career. Through years she has juggled between work and painting, but it didn't take long until she decided to become a full-time artist. 



  Turning a passion into a career, Seon Yoo is an emerging artist who we can trace a constant search for beauty expressed through the representation of abstract fantasy-landscapes. Visiting her works, it is clear that she takes inspiration not only from great artists such as Matisse, Van gogh, Hopper and Wong, but also from the nature visited by the author herself.  Through abstract fantasy-landscapes she transposes them in a style between Impressionism and Fauvism. 



Through her works, Seon speaks to us in a personal and intimate languge, communicating her feelings and thoughts. The colors she uses for her recent works of landscape paintings, are bright and dreamy as it to create soft and harmonized contrasts.
