Shafik Radwan was born in the village of Najd, northern Gaza, in 1941 He received his BA degree in Graphic Design from Helwan University in Cairo in 1959 and completed his Ph.D. in Art Critique at Surikov Art Institute in Moscow in 1989. some of his works are part of the permanent collections of both the Baghdad Museum of Modern Art and Moscow State Museum of Oriental Art
