Many people grew up doodling pretty flowers and hearts, stick people, or cool cartoons. They provided a way to calm down, counteract boredom, or help focus. My doodles were often dots and lines, repeating patterns and funky shapes. Abstract is still my forte, although I usually paint my “doodles” now using acrylics, occasionally oil paints, and sometimes mixed media.

In this chaotic world, the beauty of colors and shapes and patterns that aren’t naturalistic can bring peace to me. I get lost in what is happening on my canvas, often in surprising ways.

My desire is for my art to show the love that our Creator (the Prince of Peace) has for all of us. It’s this love that inspires me in my paintings. My hope is that you will also be drawn into beauty and peace and that you enjoy viewing my work!

My university education was in intercultural studies and graphic design.

As far as the painting goes, I’m pretty much self taught through videos, reading and experimenting.
