Shaun Murphy

Shaun Murphy was born in Bedford, England and was raised in Great Gaddesden in Hertfordshire.

He studied oil painting with Artist, Charles Garbett and sculpture with Sculptor, John Mills who was his lecturer at St Albans College of Art in England.

He is now a sculptor in Frankfort, Kentucky USA and works in clay fired with glaze. He enjoys sculpting heads and has completed a unique sculpture collection of all the US Presidents. He is now sculpting a collection of Iconic Women.

Shaun Murphy MA, began his art education in the UK studying art and drama at Coventry College of Education (Warwick University).After this, he studied painting and sculpture
at St Albans College of Art (Hertfordshire University) and film and television production at Plymouth College of Art and Design (Plymouth University). He gained his Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Learning from the University of Brighton.

He has exhibited his work in art galleries in
Hertfordshire and Devon in the UK and in The Broadway Clay Studio Gallery and Paul Sawyer Library Gallery in the USA.

Other areas where his work has been showcased include: winning the first National Design For Learning Competition in the UK and a BAFTA Bronze Award for a program on business finance; producing the first computer based learning program in the City of London; editing a book and writing a National Self Study Guide; presenting programs for Rediffusion Television and Radio Becket and carrying out duties as a Grand Prix Judge for the International Television Association.
