In my very formative years, my father gave me pens and pencils to draw and experiment with lines and design.
The weekend was notorious for being dragged around the neighborhood, sat in front of a house, and told to sketch what I see. I tended to doodle, and the house in front of me become a blend of lines, dots, swirls, and intricate patterns.
Over the last few years, I have become more and more interested in conjuring up symbols and design elements extracted from indigenous societies.
World communities both fascinate and immerse me in a world of designs and patterns. With each piece of artwork, I weave together ancient shapes and forms to create and communicate.
Detail is my solace.
My artwork can best be described as 'Maximilist'.
I use paint and detail to maximize impact and effect.
