Sheri Peters

Living in Gibsons B.C. Sheri draws inspiration from the nature around her and her experiences traveling the world. These quiet times of adventure and reflection continue to nurture her creative spirit allowing her to connect to the essence of life.

Seeking beauty and peace while painting connections that exists in nature / the colors of the universe she says "it connects me to the divine, a part of something larger than myself".

Working mainly in acrylics she creates paintings rich in texture and atmosphere, inviting viewers to pause, reflect and take a breath.

Painting for 40 years, Sheri's had the opportunity to travel around the world and learn to appreciate various art forms and try many things. Mainly a self-taught artist, she believes this "hands on" education is critical to develop an artistic voice and she continues to develop her skills through this exploration process.

Sheri shares her knowledge and zest for creation in community classes, encouraging others to create artwork from a place of childlike wonder, nurturing creativity and supporting others to explore their artistic voice.
