Shin Itagaki is a Japan-based artist whose work explores the fluid boundary between human consciousness and nature.
He draws inspiration from the landscapes of Okayama—its forests, waterfalls, and islands—where he observes how awareness gradually dissolves into the surrounding environment.

Through a meditative process of painting, his sense of self recedes, allowing images to take form on their own.
The resulting works shift between reality and illusion, revealing the invisible layers that connect humans and the natural world.

Itagaki has participated in artist-in-residence programs both in Japan and abroad, where diverse cultural and ecological contexts continue to shape his sensibility and practice.
