Simona Aru

Simona Aru is a native of the beautiful Island of Sardinia, where she studied photography at the European Institute of Design in Cagliari. She has lived in Venice, New York and London. With an exceptional eye and technical skills for Black and White and Colour fine art photography Aru worked at the New York’s famous Lab 68°, processing the work of Master of photography like Richard Avedon, Peter Bear, Michel Comte and Peter Lindbergh. Her photographs has appeared in magazine around the world such as, Condé Nast’s Vogue France and Italia. Her campaign clients have included Gracious Home, Bergdorf Goodman, Coca-Cola and Interiors Magazines.

Her personal work is continually developing, as she creates fine art through the photographic medium. Her work has been exhibited internationally including
White Box and ABC No Rio Gallery in New York
V&A Museum of Children and London’s Southbank, London, where she currently lives, works, and continues to advance her own practice.
In September 2021 she exhibited at Studio Weil, in Port d’Andratx in Mallorca, designed by Daniel Libeskind and built for the American painter and sculptor Barbara Weil .
