Simphiwe Kaka

Simphiwe kaka is a South African artist that specializes in oil on canvas. His work is inspired by his society and he portrays rare, personal and mysterious African subjects whom he at times juxtaposition in fantastical landscapes where culture, the future, ritual and the contemporary world meets and coexist. He says the reason for this is to inspire originality, non conformity and the desire for the youth to fully express themselves and change the world regardless of their demographics, race or space they find themselves in.

His painting style is influenced by Leonardo Da Vinci's Sfumato and he blends it with more contemporary techniques to give a unique look.
