I struggle with limitations. Life shouldn't be limited. I want unrestrained freedom in expressing and questioning. I make art because there is something inside that needs to be said. I'll always strive to resolve the distinction between my life and the way I translate that into my art. I absorb my surroundings and then spew it out.
Art is communication. It's a joy and sometimes a tragedy. I have always loved trying different styles and mediums, in my desire to portray air and color, smells, emotions and tactility. Art is about feeling with your eyes. And once the painting is complete, it's on its own. Its a comrade. Its your child. A certain part of you has come onto the painting and remains there. It is a way of looking a little closer, listening a little harder. What I feel and see, smell and touch I want you to experience or question.
