Slavica Jovanovic

I was born in Belgrade where I live and work.
Since my childhood I have had an urge to express myself in the field of art feeling it as part of my nature. Searching for the unique expression I took up painting realizing that my thoughts, ideas and emotions can be best expressed through the composition, form and intensity of colours.
My first encounter with the world of art and painting was the moment when I enrolled in a private school of art where I learnt the first secrets of painting. I chose acrylic technique because of its durability and the possibility to be spontaneous during the process of creation.
After a number of years of practice I became independent and focused on my own creative work, selling and promotion of my paintings both in the country and abroad.
Fascinated by metaphysical and inscrutable aspect of painting I, in my works, move from real to surreal always painting with a lot of love.
I look forward to every new piece of art taking it as a moment of identification of a story and emotions woven into it.
I am the member of the Association of Fine Artists ’’Sergej Jovanović ’’, Belgrade.
