Sofia Costa

My first memories take me to school, where I was fascinated by drawings and paintings in the classroom. Over the years, I have always experimented with different artistic processes. Although my academic training is in the area of exact sciences and my professional career is in the area of software, I never lost interest in art. Currently, I combine my passion for oil painting with my profession.

As I matured, faces and the magic of looks, especially those of children, gained an extraordinary meaning in my work, and realistic portraits are currently my greatest passion.

When I paint I enter a state of connection with myself, like a form of therapy, of meditation. Time and space disappear, giving way to an extreme feeling of well-being. My biggest goal is to convey love and positivity with all my work.
