Sondwerk is the interdisciplinary creative studio of artist and designer John Robert Hatherly. The Sondwerk mission is grounded in humanity, fostered by community, with a peculiarly singular vision for a society built on coöperation, wisdom, humility, and love. With a commitment to nonviolent communication, we create artifacts for peace to foster a healthier, more sustainable future today.

Hatherly believes in mastery taking generations, and approaches their work with a sense of naïvety and wonder—an infinite search for voice through a series of discrete, playful explorations in a search for forms that illuminate life.
