Joe Soravat Kunasirin

I paint the invisible part of a person — the energy, the memory, the spirit beneath the surface. Each portrait begins with a face, but ends somewhere deeper: in wild lines that grow from the skin like roots, feathers, and breath.
I am self-taught, and that freedom is everything. My work is for people who believe a great portrait doesn't just capture a likeness. It captures a life.
