Susannah Raine

I make paintings in oil and acrylic, that usually end up as a series, characterized primarily by bold colors and color combinations -- and not necessarily realistic hues. A favorite and popular series is my Menagerie paintings -- animals, especially closeups of their faces, with humanistic expressions. I enhance them with a variety of patterned papers to add more depth and texture. A lot of these I make into limited edition prints after the original is sold.
