Stanley-Carl Du-Pont

Born in Manzini, Swaziland and living in Johannesburg, South Africa.

I love people, photography and the outdoors.

I am neither a working/professional photographer, and at best, a keen "enthusiast" who is very passionate about artistic and technical aspects to do with photography, and also about how photography can compliment many of my other interests.

Gear, technique, editing and sharing of images are all within my scope and I am actively involved in programmes and groups that use photography for social and community benefit.

Since 2006, I have been explored several genres of photography and actively used a variety of Nikon DSLRs.

Environmental portraiture and wildlife photography are of particular interest and I am also an Adobe Lightroom fan.

My go-to camera is currently the Fujifilm x100s which I have been using since November 2013.

I am a founding member of Ubuntu Help-Portrait, a volunteer photography community who use photography to "give back" to others who are less fortunate. The mainstay programme is the taking and then giving back for free, of printed portraits for people in under-privileged communities.

I am a self-taught photographer and have have not formally studied art or photography.

My academic background includes post-graduate degrees in accounting, banking and finance.
