In my work I paint the designs and prints combined with portraits of people, plant,animals and architecture that uniquely define places in the world and in particular Yemen, where I grew up. I am fascinated by the diversity expressed in patterns and forms both in living creatures and the artistic expressions derived from them. I paint those things that could end up disappearing as they are under threat of globalization, environmental degradation and conflict.
