Steve Henderson

I am a professional fine artist who did my time in the commercial illustration world. Creating from my barn studio in southeast Washington, I license and sell my work through venues such as Great Big Canvas, iCanvas, , , Amazon, and more. I have been named on the short list of Artist & Illustrator Magazine's Artist of the Year; sold my work on Barry Chappell's Art & Coin TV; and exhibited and sold at Paint the Parks, Best of America, the Maritime Museum at Mystic Seaport, the C.M. Russell Auction, Western Art Association, and more.

I create representational works that encourage and give hope to the people who see them, simply because there's not enough focus on beauty and hope in this world. If we want to be depressed, we can watch the news. Art should counteract that.

That's the piece of paper. My real education came, and comes, through thousands of hours of actual painting and commercial illustration, as well as working with and through my licensing and publishing agents. Simply because I like it, I have studied art history extensively, with an especial focus on the Russian impressionists.
