Suman Lama

I am a fine art printmaking student currently studying at the university of Brighton. I am from Nepal but moved to England on 2005. Adjusting to the western culture hasn't been easy but I am gradually learning to adopt it. My works are primarily themed around my motherland with intents of highlighting the social and political issues in the country.

My passion for printmaking began when I made my first ever prints from a sheet of lino. My style pushes towards abstraction and I like my works to impress the audience aesthetically. Photography is also another form of art I have passion for; I like to take pictures under natural circumstances as i love the idea of capturing ordinary moments and look at them as if i am freezing time.
