Suzana MAS challenges the flat surface of the canvas through a sophisticated interplay of precisely juxtaposed color fields. In her most recent series, 3D and 4D, she creates an architectural depth that invites the viewer into a sensory experience of "perceptual volume."
By merging the legacy of Brazilian Constructivism with a contemporary approach to light and calculated chromatic relationships, Suzana produces works that are both intellectually challenging and visually magnetic.
Based in Curitiba, Brazil, the artist's practice is deeply rooted in a rigorous investigation of the pictorial plane. Her background is shaped by intensive studies under the renowned artist Carlos Fajardo and critical seminars with leading figures of Brazilian contemporary art, including Nuno Ramos and Paulo Pasta.
With a career spanning decades – including early international recognition in a Parisian publication and national awards in Brazil – her pieces are part of significant private collections and reflect a solid trajectory dedicated to the essence of abstraction.
