Born and raised in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in the 1950's. From early childhood Takhir has been interested in the art of drawing. There was something so powerful about one’s ability to put a pencil to a white sheet of paper and not only represent an object, but evoke an emotion in others when they view it. During his school years, he participated in art competitions and once in 6th grade his art piece received a title of The Best Drawing among all local schools in the city.

In 1970 he poured his attention and focus on the medical school, reaching the ranks and qualifications of an ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) Surgeon and Otolaryngologist. Throughout his life he continued his passion for art, especially favoring the creation of the representational landscape paintings and portraits; and never missing an opportunity to visit a museum or an art gallery while on his travels.

Now with grown children and in his retirement, Takhir is finally able to focus his time and attention on continuing to grow and advance his skills and explore a variety of styles.
