Tamar Perry

If you ask Tamar to describe herself in a single sentence, she will say: “I am a creative artistic single mom from New York”.

Born and raised in Israel, Inspired by Yaakov Agam and Victor Vasarely in earlier years, her preferred style is Geometric Abstract. Always using colors and shapes in interesting compositions to create pleasing, eye catching pieces that you simply can’t have enough of. She loves taking colors & shapes to a different dimension.
Her early work has been mostly with Gouache, and since she also worked with oils, acrylic, watercolors, ink and airbrush. More recently she began creating smaller pieces in paper assemblage currently working on the "Reconstructed Movement" collection.
Tamar’s incredible eye for color and shape, have taken her recently on a journey of creating a collection of pieces that celebrates color combinations and patterns, by deconstructing and then creating layers of different pattern paper, cut in simple shapes and reassembling them to achieve movement from various compositions created by careful placement of simple geometric shapes. She takes geometric abstracts and color combinations to a whole new level.

Tamar was schooled in different styles of art starting at the age of 12. She graduated from Technikum School of Graphic Design in 1980 and studied oil, watercolor, illustration, sculpting and more with several different artists ever since.
