Tamuna Chikovani

Tamuna Chikovani is an artist that graduated high school in Tbilisi Georgia in 1993. After that she continued to study at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. In 1995 she continued her education at Converse College, Spartanburg, S.C. USA; where she actively and successfully participated in numerous students’ art exhibitions and competitions, being awarded the best artist prize several times. In 1999 she got her Bachelor degree in theater stage decoration, later, in 2002 she got her Masters degree in fine arts. She has been painting since she was 6 and she cannot imagine her life without art and painting.
Music plays a significant role in her working process.
She loves her country, Georgia ,and is happy that she was born there. Georgia has traditional music and dance culture which has inspired some of her works.
She loves travelling and exploring new cultures. That helps her enrich her art with new themes and dimensions.

Tamuna Chikovani’s oeuvre includes pictorial canvas, graphic works and her own unique collage style. Her art is based on abstract expressionism.
