Tania Aparecida

I was born in Brazil near Sao Paulo and I currently live and work in Spain. My artistic work is focused on graphics, collage and mixed media. I have great family influence in the sewing and embroidery that my grandmother and my aunts did. I was captivated by the magic of engraving (gravura), which always gave me a surprise. The color and elements of nature are always present in my work. And also the mystical and spiritual part, the intellectuality and the inner world. I always look for a starting point of life, why we came and where we are going. My work fit it in a really emotional plane. I am not a figurative artist at all, I am very interested in composition and aesthetics and I am very interested in the composition of the work. In that sense I am also going towards the stain and the abstraction.
