Tanja Hocevar

Tanja Hočevar, born in 1980 in Ljubljana, is an abstract painter who has been actively engaged in the Slovenian and international art scene for almost two decades.

Her life has always been intertwined with creativity and art, serving as a constant source of inspiration. Starting her artistic journey by exploring and honing her skills in various painting schools and workshops, she eventually embarked on a solo path of discovering the art world that resonates with her true emotions and self-expression.

Tanja primarily expresses herself through watercolor and acrylic techniques. Watercolor painting presents both a challenge and a meditative experience for her, as she embraces its unique, irreproducible strokes and endless experimentation. When painting, she immerses herself completely in the artistic process, infusing her deepest emotions onto the canvas.
Recently, she has been increasingly drawn to larger canvas formats to achieve intuitive and expressive outcomes. Her impulsive yet thoughtful application of colors reflects her rich inner world and feelings, offering a wide spectrum of emotional expression.
