Exploring the relationships between diverse storytelling and the visual presentation, the pieces I design combine basic, joyful printing techniques from my own photography with papercutting, collage, paint and sometimes stitchwork to create fairy story, folk tale, and video game narratives reminiscent of daily life, blood, nature and creation.

My production leans heavily towards recycled items, printing, mixed papers, gouache, acrylics, watercolours and papercutting. With inspirations as wide ranging as Matisse, Gaudi, Dali and Hans Christian Anderson, new combinations are distilled with the inception of digital narratives at their heart. My ingenuity has always sprung from being raised as a feminist by a family of strong, working class Northern women, and the many books I have toured for bright new worlds.
