Thien Nguyen

Thien was born in Vietnam, Bien Hoa Dong Nai, northeast of Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). His family came to the United States in 1992 when he was about 3 years old. Thien believes that growing up in a culturally diverse neighborhood helped him keep an open mind on how to live our daily lives as well as important factors/issues. He believes that has a big influence on how he creates his own artwork.

Thien specializes in abstract landscapes, mostly involving mountainous terrain because of their natural abstract shapes.

Studied at the Claire Trevor School of the Arts - University Of California, Irvine.
