Thomas Forman

In recent years, I have been fascinated with movement, trying to represent and convey movement in an abstract two-dimensional way. Movement as seen in water, streams, wind, fire and in one’s imagination. I’ve attempted to capture it on canvas and paper in acrylics, watercolor and mixed media.

Grew up on Long Island and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY,

After a career as an art director at major international New York ad agencies, I was owner/ Creative Director of the Forman Group, an advertising/graphic design studio.

My heroes include Vincent Van Gogh, Mark Rothko, Georgia O'Keeffe, Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, James Rosenquist, Gerhard Richter, Red Grooms, Wayne Thiebaud, Claes Oldenburg, Frank Stella and more.
