Timo Gallery is my workspace and showcase.
1963, Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA. Contemporary abstractionist painter. I am an artist with an intense love of form, color, craft and process. Gleaned my skill set from the Arizona and New Mexico desert regions of the U.S., and include that light and love into whatever I paint. I am inspired by no one thing in particular, but rather, nearly everything.
Timothy Meyerring von Thymann was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1963. After a career in the medical profession he received his BFA in Graphic Design from Arizona State University in 1997. He worked in Sedona, Phoenix and Seattle as a designer and printmaker, doing work for the likes of the band R.E.M. and the corporate giant Microsoft. Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Taos, New Mexico and the vast expanses of the Sonoran Desert is where he started to immerse himself in fine art photography and painting.
His most recent travels took him to Barcelona, Paris, New York and Hawaii, where he studied further with forms, concepts, and materials. His range and interests as an emerging contemporary artist are as varied as his mediums: oil, acrylic, encaustic, ink, metal, earth - as well as straight film, digital, transfer and alternative processes photography and printmaking.
"Art is something I do every day of my life. I paint or photograph those things that are exciting to me, the ideas of my dreams. My life's work is to create beautiful things with good energy, work that enlightens the spirit and one's surroundings. I like communicating that, the energy of a space, or the uplifting feeling of an environment, a moment, or a form.
