Artist Statement:

Lately, my work spends time with the natural world colliding with man's physically and spiritually constructed world.
Much like my interest in fusing themes and subject matter in unorthodox ways, I also enjoy the balance created with mixing mediums in a non-traditional manner. Marker on oil paint, Pencil on spray paint, anything is game if I feel it works within the context. I often revisit my work and find that I try taking myself back to the time and place in which it was created. In those instances I can often feel detached from the emotion and creative impulses that make up the piece, almost as if I hadn't been the one who created it. With that in mind, I set out to make art that can hold an appreciation to the casual viewer as an ambiguous composition on top of the often complex underlying themes which I had initially set out to explore.

Growing up in a small, conservative, touristy New Hampshire town, Timo had the fortunate experience of coming of age on the campus of a prep school.
