Yee Shuen To

To Yee Shuen, Jase was born in Guang Dong, China in 1990, moved to Hong Kong at the age of 8. In 2013, I earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and Entertainment Arts with First Class Honours, major in Scenic Art from The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Art.

My Paintings are essay of my observation, from the examination of my surrounding. When I move through life, I am confronted by question of doubt, isolation, anxiety contradiction, painting is my only answer. I extract most of the elements in my painting from the present. The sensation of human being are always my painting subjects. My subjects and technique are intentionally very real and romantic. It was because rather than shout, my painting speaks softly, their messages, both personal and profound audible only to those who make the effort to listen.
