Jonathan Trapman

Having graduated from the London Polytechnic School of Photography in 1971 I spent a couple of years as a photojournalist in Fleet Street working for such titles as The Times, Express Newspapers and Sun
Establishing myself in the advertising industry mid 70s became one of the leading photographers working for major ad agencies, blue chip corporations and traveling the world executing varied and challenging briefs.
I have exhibited in London, Amsterdam, France and Tokyo.
Have been commissioned/exhibited by Kodak, Minolta, Mamiya and Ilford to head up workshops on the medium and my own areas of specialty.
Have been a leading member of the AOP, Association of Photographers and was part of a select group of 6 who steered new rights for creative artists and copyright in the mid1990s

For the majority of my professional career I worked in partnership with Gene Nocon, one of the foremost and most well known photographic printers of the industry. Together we have worked on a photographic project for a member of the Royal Family and I have also contributed to photography for Gene's own creations.
