" THE PIANO PAINTS "

As a pianist, I would like to explain the sense of this title. First, someone can say that thanks to the piano I paint, on the other side thanks to painting I play piano better ! I found the combination between the piano and paintings.Second I searched and read books, for example: "The modern game of piano" - Karl Leimer mentioned about the philosophy of playing the piano as we walk.
When we walk, Eyes will guide legs to everywhere we want to go = Ears will guide hands and fingers => Eyes will guide pencils and brushes!
Third, paper is my choice (the sizes are varied) for the moment with a mixed “technique“: water colour, oil, pastel, pencil, etc. When I make painting, I am really in the environment of relaxation of my mind. I have an image in my head and I let my eyes naturally guide my pencil, my brush on paper.I paint with my feeling, my spirit and my imagination .In addition, Albert Einstein also said that “imagination is more important than knowledge”. I imagine that nuances of colours in my paintings resemble to harmony of piano: hot = major, dolce = minor, dark = augmented, light = diminished, etc.

TRUONG Hoang Huy est né en 1987 au Vietnam dans une famille de musiciens et d'artistes. Son grand-père Tran Huu Quang était peintre, sculpteur, professeur et écrivain d’histoire. Son oncle Tran Vuong Thach est chef d’orchestre de la salle Philarmonique de l’opéra d’Ho Chi Minh-Vietnam. Un autre oncle, Tran Thanh Tung, est compositeur.

Huy Truong a commencé la peinture et le piano (avec sa mère Tran Anh Tu qui est professeur de piano) en même temps à l’âge de 4 ans. Il a gagné de nombreux prix pour ses peintures comme le concours National Vietnam " Net Ve Xanh ", " the 31 st International Children’s Art Exhibition 2001 – Bronze Awards " au Japon, …

A 5 ans, il a gagné le prix " Crystal " (catégorie pour plus jeunes) du concours Piano festival " Nu Duong Cam " à Ho Chi Minh ville. Il est entré à l’âge de 7 ans au conservatoire d’Ho Chi Minh dans la classe de Nguyen Thien Phuong Hanh (sous-directeur de la section au piano). A l’âge de 9 ans, il a participé à nouveau au concours Piano festival " Nu Duong Cam " et il a gagné le 2ième prix.

En 1997, il est choisi comme meilleur étudiant du conservatoire d’Ho Chi Minh pour participer au XXième Concours International Per Giovani où il obtient le 1er prix " Jeune Talent " en Italie...
