The сreativity idea is due to the time in which the artist lives. Throughout his life the artist was witness to the end of the Soviet ideology, which led to the fixation of this problem in his work. This situation led to a rethinking of his life and influenced on the ideas that the artist is engaged in. In his work Eugene tests on strength objects and materials left in the inheritance. He represents a reversal of the processes of rethinking and changing the priorities of identity by changing the context, approach to the material, and combining the ideological layers. The artists peculiarity is a deliberately simplified aesthetic dictionary with deformed kinetic movement amplitudes of mechanical elements, which emphasizes the vision of the historical representation through the deformation of the original function of the object.

Artist Yevgeny Shteyn was born in 1983 in the city of Cherkasy. Works with sculpture, photography and kinetics. Since 2016 he is a participant of the artistic association "Khlebzavod" (HZ).
