Striking coastlines from Dorset to the Caribbean have influenced the success & development of Vicky Findings exotic works bursting with colour, emotion & orchestrated movement. Subjects are absorbed from fleeting moments that demand to be painted, & the finished works have an hypnotic intensity that confine the viewers gaze & offer a glimpse into a private world. Living so close to the Jurassic coastline of Dorset Vicky is able to immerse herself into the unpredictable turbulence that the elements disclose on regular trips to the cliffs & beaches. As well as drawing inspiration from these dramatic moments, she has been able to benefit from annual sailing adventures from the Mediterranean to the West Indies & Indonesia, that have not only allowed her to soak up the intense colours & transformations in land & seascapes, but also it has put her in direct confrontation with the awesome power of the elements versus the sailboat.
To date her sales have been concentrated in the South West in galleries & exhibitions from Dorset to St Ives, as well as London, Bristol, Brighton & Edinburgh
