Vitold Senkovskyi

I was born in the small industrial town of Kalush in the western part of Ukraine.
I began to show interest in drawing in high school. At that time I was interested in snakes ... and portraits of people. After some time I was already studying in college, and then at the Pedagogical University at the Faculty of Graphic Arts. After graduating in 2001, I worked as a teacher of drawing and painting at the college where I previously studied.
The specifics of the work influenced the fact that the main object of the image became still life, especially after I discovered (through the Internet) for myself the works of such artists as Carol Marine, Ingrid Christensen, Maggie Siner. Of course, the portrait remained my favorite genre but the place of snakes was taken by cats.
I mostly paint from life, but sometimes from photographs. I like to play with light and shade and use them to create images, which put the mood and feelings over their real sense.
