Born: 21 May 1848 in Moscow
1967-1972: worked as an apprentice engraver, and then as an engraver of printed forms at the
Moscow Printing Press of “Goznak”. Author of the engraving for five stamps and postcards done on metal in the style of classic carved engraving.
1984-2000: was the head artist for the most famous Russian Caricatur magazine “Crocodile” and a member of the editorial board, and in 1999 became the assistant to the head editor of “Crocodile”.
From the beginning of the 80s worked as an illustrator for the magazine “Youth” and “Rural Youth”, for the newspaper “ Moskovskaya Pravda”.
1987: A book in the series “Great Soviet Caricaturists” was published at the Soviet Artist publishing house
Starting 2003 worked on the series “Past and contemporary outstanding people in graphics,
painting and caricature
Starting 2007 a member of the Russian Academy of Art
From 2003 until now do oil paintings, portraits, landscapes, still lifes and abstract paintings
Have done drawings for the following magazines: The Times, Newsweek, the New Yorker (USA), Courier International (France), the Kioto Simbun and the Japan Times. "New Times", "New Russian Word"....
