An artist of expressionism, known for his contemporary subjects, affiliated with various art organizations in the Philippines that includes; FILVAG (Filipino Visual Artist Guild), Art Republic, Manila Artist Group, AAP (Art Association of the Philippines), Tuesday Group (Creative Group), Painters Club, Lakan Sining, Artintrad, MAS (Muntinlupa Arts Society), Intramuros Artist Association and KASILAY (Kasama sa Sining at Kalayaan).
Son and nephew of Filipino Visual Artists Fred Villanueva, Teofilo Villanueva and Nestor Villanueva.
One of the 25 Filipino Visual Artists who painted the mural The History of the Nation for Philippine President Hon. Joseph Ejercito Estrada in Malacaang Palace in the year 2000.
