I've been doing realism for most of my life. My subject matter has generally been coastal scenes that range from the forested headlands of the Pacific Northwest to the frozen Antarctic. Most people comment that the work looks like photography and I get some influence from that but also from the realists of the 1800's like the Hudson River School artists.
My current series is of Monotone and Duotone oil paintings with more focus on the waves and water then my previous works. I have studio in downtown Laguna Beach that is open by appointment so if you are in the area, give me a call!
