Multidisciplinary artist and art historian of Polish origin, based in Lisbon. She is fascinated by nature, especially the world of plants with a variety of shapes, structures, textures and colours – the infinite repertoire of her inspirations.
Since childhood, her attention has been directed to the ephemeral beauty of flowers. Under these circumstances, her first herbariums were created, in which she observed plant anatomy. She continued her studies with painting, architectural drawing, ceramic and silk painting. These experiences made her fully aware of work based on shapes, colours and materials.
Sinuous, organic lines, asymmetry and rich palette are present in Weronika’s paintings are related with her fascination with artistic styles of the end of 19th and beginning of 20th century.
