William Stern

As an artist, I rarely perform in public and live very withdrawn in my studio near Cologne. I've been a freelance professional artist for over 15 years. As a person, I do not find myself important enough and prefer that my pictures speak to the people.

I am born In 1985 in Cologne, the German metropolis of art, I am a German painter who has devoted himself to abstract expressionism.

I grew up in an artistic family. My mother was a pianist and my father an architect. Already as a child I was fascinated by paintings of old Renaissance masters like Titian and Leonardo da Vinci. At an adolescent age, my love was for modernism and abstraction right through to the ultimate critical phase of my life, when I turned completely to abstract expressionism. Last but not least, for me the exploration of the new possibilities in art and the effect of my paintings on the viewer are the impulses for my artistic work.
