My painting practice is based solely on the use of encaustic painting techniques used in a contemporaneous fashion. Conceptually my work is rooted in the traditions of the modern sublime and Zen philosophy straddling a gap between western minimalist abstraction and eastern traditional craft. My concerns are focussed on the materiality and processes by which paintings are built using
reduced means through multiple stages to completion.
