RECOGNITION

Having spent many years in the fashion, garden design, publishing, and manufacturing fields, Scott was able to gain a global perspective on fine art, architecture, and interior design via living and working throughout Europe, Asia, and South America. Noting that a love and desire of beautiful wood sculpture was a common thread running through these many cultures, Scott decided to pursue the dream of providing collectors with outstanding examples of the best that Mother Nature has to offer.

Relocating to a small town on the wild and rugged southern Oregon coast, Scott proceeded to spend years amassing a vast collection of wood from local ocean beaches and the area’s rivers. Each piece is chosen for it’s own unique, abstract, and timeless sculptural qualities. Collectively, each is a victim of floods, logging, fires, and the general ongoing ravages of time. These natural works of art, found mostly in remote and inaccessible locations and are laboriously rescued but only after Mother Nature has done her part.

Following collection, an immediate subtractive process must begin in order to prepare the wood for the drying phase. Once that is completed, the subsequent curing period can take many months, even years for larger piece...
