Rafael Andueza

I was born in Santiago, Chile. As my mother is french, I have also the French nationality.
I studied in France, I lived for eight years in Colombia and now I live and work in Pucón, Chile.

I paint in a realistic style, usually humble and everyday objects, using oils in a traditional manner, and trying to capture their essence through light and color.

I like to organize my paintings in terms of "series" of different subjects or topics. I have my series of still life, south-american birds, portraits, and also abstract paintings.

In all my paintings I look for the same: simplicity, investigate the behavior of light, so to find the essence of things and achieve composing with poetry.
