Claude St-Cyr

His love for the past has driven Claude St-Cyr to convey the richness of Quebec's heritage beyound its boundaries.
His goal is to recreate, in our time, those things which once embodied the pride of the Quebec settler-a barn, a buggy, or just a fence. As he says in his own words,''Alone in some forgotten corner of our countryside, filled with the heady smell of the damp earth or the dry grass, I enter into communication with the theme for my painting. And in the peace and serenity of these sublime spots, I endeavour, with my brush, to instill in coming generation this feeling of love for things which are even now dying away.''
