I paint things that I see, usually it is something that I believe I may see in a different way than most people see. Sometimes I paint to show the beauty of paint, as in the heart paintings. These paintings are a study in how beautiful color and paint can flow together.

I usually see the finished painting even before I start to paint, that is how I choose the medium I will create the image in. I don't hold firm to the vision I stated with, I let the painting become what it wants to be. I can always start from the same point and create another painting, I would rarely have the same inspiration if I tried to make the painting fit my original idea.
