Tonje Røseth

I am a visual artist working in the mediums of painting and graphics. My abstract paintings were often inspired by nature and based on abstracted motifs. It is important for my expression to work in series; The images are in dialogue with each other and mutually complement each other.

I am educated at the Norwegian School of Handicrafts and Art Industry in Oslo, and member of Norwegian Visual- and Norwegian Graphic Artists.

I have had a number of separate and collective exhibitions in visual art and, among other things, exhibited at the Oppland, Akershus and Telemark artists' centres, and participated several times at the Statens Høstutstillingen and Østlandsutstillingen.
I have been purchased by the Royal Palace and the National Museum, and have received a number of awards and state artist grants.
